The cheaper, easier, greener way to work
Journey Share is a new scheme which enables people to match car,
taxi, walking and cycling journeys across the Borough. Journey
Share builds on the success of the members who are already
registered on the Telford car share scheme. Why not log on to

if you can find a match and take the hassle out of getting to work
on your own.
Car sharing
You can save money, park
easily and still enjoy the convenience of travelling by car. Why
not give it a try?
Anybody working in the Telford and Wrekin area can register for the
scheme.
You can choose to register as a driver, passenger or both by
visiting the website. You will be asked details of your preferred
journey times, your destination and you can also specify your likes
and dislikes, for example, smoking or non smoking, if you wish.
Only your email address will be disclosed to possible sharers. In
order to make contact and arrange your share group, it is up to you
to decide to email someone; no other personal contact details will
be given.
Registering on Journey Share does not mean you have to share, it's
entirely up to you. But you may be pleasantly surprised at the
benefits car sharing can provide:
- allocated car park spaces (at some companies)
- reduced travel costs
- companionship
- reduced congestion
The bigger the choice, the better the match to your journey.
Same gender companions, smokers, non smokers; all can be
accommodated.
Businesses
Journeyshare provides a range of benefits to employers, these
include;
1) employees commuting together helping to reduce pressure on
parking spaces
2) a reduction in the carbon emissions from the staff commute
3) sharing journeys helps to build relationships between
employees

Many companies offer guaranteed rides home in
the case of an emergency. Ask your employer.

Many employers now provide excellent
cycle storage and shower facilities. Why not cycle to work once a
