Local Transport Plan 2006-2011 with mid-term Delivery Report

The Transport Act 2000 requires all Highway Authorities to produce a Local Transport Plan (LTP) which sets out a five year strategy and action plan for improving local transport. Council's are also required to produce an Accessibility Planning Strategy which focuses on improving people's access to services such as employment, education, healthcare and food shops.
The second Local Transport Plan (LTP2) for Telford and Wrekin Council sets out how we will spend Government capital funding allocated for local transport over the period 2006 to 2011. The plan contains a strategy and programme designed to meet local and national targets based on 'indicative planning guidelines' or funding levels announced by the Government.

Accessibility Planning Strategy 2006 to 2011

In December 2008 we published and submitted to Government a mid term Delivery Report which describes the progress we have made between 1 April 2006 and 31 March 2008 in delivering Telford and Wrekin's second Local Transport Plan, and outlines future actions we intend to make to meet the Plan's objectives.
